Job Description Summary

The Product Support Engineer identifies and track in-service reliability of hardware/module/engine, determining needs for repair development and product improvements. She/He is responsible of developing field control programs and field problem resolutions at hardware/module level. In addition, it provides support to fleet line maintenance and engine troubleshooting of aviation engines; communicating business goals/programs/processes with customers and business segments. She/he is able to develop and execute objectives for self and others. This role has the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead high visibility projects with identified risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

  • Develop Module and Component Field Plans coordination for All GE/SAFRAN Modules and/or Hardware Owners

  • Solve MRO and Customer Spare Issues

  • Coordination and Presenter in Operators Conference Calls, Symposium, Partner ERM and Airframer TRM

  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

  • Develop and present Fleet Scorecard creation & Fleet Reliability monitoring

  • Execute the analysis / evaluation of multidisciplinary projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements

  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

  • Significant Events Investigations Integration with Module Owners, Hardware Owners, Suppliers and Airframe.

Requirements:

  • Effective written and oral communication skills at Executive level - English and Spanish

  • Ability to communicate with Executives and Senior Leadership; including external customers

  • Demonstrated ability in managing technical projects across functions.

  • Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments.

  • Demonstrated ability in establishing common goals and objectives

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
