Warren, Washington, & Albany Counties ARC Network Administrator in Queensbury, New York

Our Network Administration Department currently has a Full - time (40 hour) Network Administrator position available in Queensbury, NY. The shift for this position is Monday- Friday. The rate of pay is $60,000-$65,000 yearly/ salaried overtime exempt. Primary responsibility is to keep the network running optimally 24/7. Establish network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. Consistent evaluation of network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor(s). Actively triage networking issues using service desk software and work closely with technical support team. Secondary responsibility includes support of new IT initiatives and maintenance of existing networking systems. QUALIFICATIONS:18 years of age.A valid driver’s license that meets WWAARC insurability standards.To secure and maintain all certifications and trainings required by WWAARC. Minimum 2-yr. degree in Computer Science/Data/Programming preferred, additional practical experience in lieu of degree considered.Experience in networking and server management is required.Knowledge of database structures such as SQL, and the principles of database design, a plus.Problem-solving, proven organization, and good analytical skills required.Familiarity with HIPAA and PHI regulations.Must be an effective communicator and possess superior writing and speaking skills.Software experience of VMware, Bitdefender, and Acronis is preferred.Experience with firewall appliances is required; Mimecast, Juniper, Fortinet are preferred.Extensive experience with Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Server, Windows 11, Windows 10 and 365 is required.Strong familiarity with project management methodologies to streamline development efforts a plus.Must be able to handle stressful situations and react to project adjustments and alternations promptly and efficiently.Must possess the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, other departments including the people we support.Must possess the ability to manage a variety and multitude of tasks at any one given time and effectively triage acute project issues.What’s in it for You?
