Proposed Schedule: 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, but must be flexible to work nights and weekends depending on workload demands
Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Support position will work in conjunction with other maintenance staff in the responsibility for the general maintenance of all Network health centers and administrative facilities. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responds to work orders in a 24-hour time period when applicable
Must be flexible to work nights and weekends if workload demands for such hours
General electrical skills to include an understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, and the principles of electricity. This includes knowing how to install cable, work with different types of wiring, and troubleshoot electrical issues.
Fire alarm knowledge
Painting as needed throughout our facilities
Ability to do basic construction, sheet rocking, framing walls, taping etc.
Clean and dust light fixtures, change light bulbs and ballasts, etc
Moving of furniture/medical equipment throughout the network
Performs functions for all maintenance aspects including electrical and essential systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, repairs and carpentry
Participates in facilities on-call system.
Ability to perform any other facility related issues/tasks, not noted above.
Qualifications:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the essential functions:
High School Diploma or GED required, previous maintenance experience preferred
General knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, construction and electrical systems
Knowledge of general maintenance duties to include electrical
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Ability to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedure manuals
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of vendors or employees
Ability to handle problems that may arise involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Valid NYS Driver License and clean driving record required.
Ability to travel throughout the Network as needed
The pay range for this position is $25.00-$28.00/hour and will be based on skills and experience.
