Citigroup Resolution Capital Forecasting Sr Ld Anlst - C14 - NEW YORK in Queens, New York

This position is a part of Citi’s Resolution Capital Execution Need (RCEN) Forecasting team within the Capital Management organization of Citi Finance. The team supports a range of high-profile regulatory deliverables and initiatives central to the safety and soundness of the firm. Citi’s RCEN Forecasting team is responsible for the development and maintenance of Resolution capital plans for submission to regulators, while at the same time, focusing on industry and Citi-wide strategic issues. Specifically, RCEN Forecasting team is responsible for BAU RCEN Forecasts, 165(d) Resolution Plan RCEN forecasts, RCEN simulations, and advising on the development of the RCEN Target State. Further, RCEN Forecasting team supports evaluation and development of strategies to address impediments to an orderly resolution, enhance Citi’s resolution planning capabilities and maximize business opportunities while minimizing capital and structural inefficiencies.

This role will be responsible for BAU RCEN reporting, 165(d) Resolution Plan RCEN forecasts, RCEN simulations, and supporting processes. The candidate will have a unique opportunity to gain a broad understanding of many key facets of Citi: its legal structure; product offerings; business franchises; functional teams; balance sheet and liquidity management protocols; countries of operations; and the interaction of these various facets. While this is in Citi’s Finance organization, the RCEN Forecasting team has significant engagement with legal entity Risk and Finance teams (Treasurers, Controllers, Planning and Analysis), operations and technology, businesses, and legal teams. The candidate will lead / support these efforts by leveraging their analytical skills, knowledge of the subject / area, project management skills, communication skills and technical skills (MS Excel and PowerPoint), to better articulate and present the analyses supporting Citi's regulatory strategies and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Administering BAU RCEN reporting to senior management.

  • Leading / supporting RCEN simulations and annual 165(d) resolution planning process, and, presenting to senior management.

  • Leading / executing controls to provide assurance over reliability of the forecasts.

  • Leading ongoing maintenance of each MLE's Minimum Capital Sufficiency Target ratios, which are required to be updated quarterly per the standards established.

  • Leading / supporting remediation of any capital deficits by working with MLE Treasurers and senior management.

  • Manage technology and / or process enhancement projects involving a wide range of functional partners, against tight project timelines and deliverable schedules.

  • Lead partnership with RRP and MLE teams to understand regulatory requirements, develop strategies and assist in executing processes to respond to and meet regulatory expectations.

  • Lead strategic projects and support a wide range of analytical presentations that help decide and support Citi's global regulatory strategies.

  • Ensure RCEN Forecasting activities meet established governance standards.

  • Draft regulatory and executive communications and messaging.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree

  • 10+ years’ relevant work experience.

  • Prior experience in Capital Management, Capital Planning, Resolution Planning, Liquidity Management is important.

  • Knowledge of fundamental Balance Sheet and P&L is preferred.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Python and / or Tableau would be a plus.

  • Experience analyzing and handling large datasets is preferred.

  • Excellent written and oral communication

  • Significant intellectual curiosity and desire to learn how Citi conducts its activities, often at the most granular level.

  • Knowledge of Citi data architecture / systems a plus.

  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills, with diligence and superior attention to detail sufficient to withstand scrutiny from senior executives as well as Risk and Internal Audit functions.

  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships with people at varying levels across the organization.

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and meeting strict deadlines.

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
