Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in LONG ISLAND CITY, New York. This role operates within a bustling environment and requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of payroll functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering and managing payroll information into the company database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. This role is fully onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Enter payroll data into the company database, which includes Excel, QuickBooks, and ADP.

• Follow up with team members to verify their timesheets and ensure accuracy.

• Process payroll once comfortable with the data entry aspect of the role.

• Use Accounting Software Systems to manage payroll data.

• Utilize the Kronos Timekeeping System for accurate record-keeping.

• Perform accounting functions and manage accounts payable (AP).

• Understand and manage benefit functions within the payroll system.

• Process checks as part of the payroll system.

• Use IBM AS/400 and About Time for data management.

• Leverage your understanding of NYC benefits in the payroll process. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of Ceridian

• Familiarity with IBM AS/400

• Experience with Kronos Timekeeping System

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions

• Familiar with Accounts Payable (AP) functions

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions

• Experience in Check Processing
