Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management
POSITION DETAILS
Reporting to the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management will be responsible for leading and advancing enrollment priorities to achieve enrollment and student success goals.
The Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management will assist the Vice President in planning, implementing, and evaluating enrollment priorities and retention programs and services managed by the Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management, and recommending the development and implementation of new programs and services in support of the College’s strategic plan. The Assistant Vice President will assist with the resolution of student concerns and facilitate for students a better understanding of their learning environment. The Assistant Vice President will promote excellence, creativity, leadership, cooperation/teamwork and accountability throughout the Division of Student Affairs & Enrollment Management and will manage services and programming designed to promote and enhance student success.
The Assistant Vice President’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead a team of enrollment professionals, and assist the Vice President in implementing and monitoring the College’s ongoing data-driven approach to strategic recruitment in higher education
Provide strategic leadership of Undergraduate & Graduate Admissions, Financial Aid, Registrar, SEEK, Enrollment Services, Early College Programs and initiating the development of enrollment strategy
Provide institutional enrollment management leadership throughout the student life cycle, including student retention and completion
Supervise, motivate, and coach a team of enrollment professionals to achieve student success targets
Develop and implement enrollment strategies and annual plans to meet institutional priorities as defined by the mission of the College, the Strategic Plan, and institutional goals and objectives
Manage a comprehensive, multi-channel student communication plan
Collaborate with campus offices to fully leverage student management systems’ capabilities to enroll students
Convene regular meetings with campus stakeholders to evaluate enrollment results and goals, assess future enrollment projections, and collaboratively determine required changes to ensure enrollment targets are met
Identify and employ enrollment best practices and technologies in higher education to drive delivery of quality service to students
Plan and implement change management processes, including workflow, systems, and training, as necessary to ensure successful business transformation ·
Develop and coordinate an integrated data and information flow model for enrollment and retention
Retrieve, analyze, and utilize relevant primary and secondary data to inform planning, decision-making, and management practice
Serve on College- and University-wide Committees as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
This position is in CUNY’s Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and eight years’ related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline, ten years of progressive experience in higher education and direct experience leading the recruitment strategy in an office of admissions
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and managerial skills and the capacity to be collaborative
Knowledge of current trends and practices in student services and the ability to create and implement “cutting edge” progressive initiatives
Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale transformations, particularly in response to shifting enrollment trends or institutional priorities
Demonstrate a leadership style that is collaborative and effective in achieving institutional priorities
Experience in public relations, media engagement, and communication strategies to build the college's visibility and enhance recruitment efforts
Knowledge of policy formulation and methods of analysis to establish practical policies and provide effective guidance in decision-making
Demonstrate data-driven decision-making with predictive modeling tools for enrollment forecasting, student success analytics, and retention efforts
Demonstrated leadership in DEI initiatives and success in increasing the enrollment and retention of underrepresented student populations
Demonstrate the ability to develop strategic partnerships with local community-based organizations, corporations, and high schools to foster recruitment pipelines and student retention initiatives
Knowledge of reporting software systems like Argos, Tableau, or similar
Knowledge of CRM systems and digital recruitment platforms
Direct experience creating and executing strategies for undergraduate recruitment
Direct experience with recruitment strategies and policies for transfer students and international students
Experience in financial aid packaging, scholarship management, and leveraging financial aid to optimize student enrollment and retention
Experience developing recruitment and marketing plans
Demonstrate experience leading, empowering, and developing staff

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with education and experience. Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000.
