Cross County Savings Bank Assistant Branch Manager in Queens, New York
Assistant branch managers provide assistance and support to branch managers, and assume responsibility for branch management when branch managers are absent. Assistant branch managers also fulfill some of the same responsibilities as branch support staff (i.e., tellers, teller supervisors and customer service representatives) on an as-needed basis.•Monitor operating procedures for the branch and provide technical support when needed.•Monitor daily work activity ensuring that both sales and service standards are met.•Monitor branch cash levels ensuring compliance with requirements.•Monitor teller differences and prepare required reports for review.•Monitor operational and/or supervisory control over cash and all negotiable items.•Monitor customer courtesy, staff and branch appearance.•Monitor, train and encourage staff with cross selling products.•Assist the Branch Manager with monthly audits, KYC reviews, daily reports, staff meetings, staff scheduling, payroll, and other projects or assignments. •Assume responsibility for branch management in the Branch Manager’s absence.•Ensure the branch is in compliance with all regulations, internal controls & procedures.•Research and resolve complaints and customer service issues as quickly as possible.•Maintain active community involvement, emphasizing the bank’s local commitment.•Provide recommendations to Branch Manager and Operations Department to enhance the delivery of customer service.•Exemplify the five brand attributes of being perceptive, progressive, responsive, respectful and fair.•Oversee customer service representatives to ensure proper servicing of banking needs for customers and monitor process at account opening and maintenance to ensure compliance with all bank Know Your Customer/AML and operational standards. Educational and Prior Work Experience:•Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field required and/or equivalent work experience•One to three years retail banking experience. One or two years of management experience in a sales environment preferred •Proficient in Computer Skills such as Word, Access, Outlook and Excel•Ability and experience in supervising staff Cross County Savings Bank is an equal opportunity employer. Minimum Salary: 23.50 Maximum Salary: 32.00 Salary Unit: Hourly
