ManTech Wargame Branch Operations Analyst in Quantico, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a in support of Wargame Branch Operations Analyst to provide analytical support to Wargame Division events in Quantico, VA.

This position requires the ability to work with a team of technical specialists in the field of modeling and simulation, data analysts and wargame team members. This position will support a rapid development process and must be able to adapt to the tempo, as required. This position is a critical capability to set conditions for the data-driven Pioneer IOC wargame.

This position requires an active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide recommendations to Wargame Branch Lead, Game Directors on the effective use, scope, objective, and timelines for analytic study efforts in support of MCWL wargaming activities.

  • Use models, simulations, other custom analytical applications (as required) such as but not limited to JMP, MATLAB, Chugger, and others, as well as other research methods as applicable, to execute approved study plans and support simulation development.

  • Support development of written study reports that address the study objective, research questions, and data collection plan, as required for specific project efforts.

  • Develop written study plans in response to the analytical needs expressed by the supported MCWL Stakeholders.

  • Support maintenance of a repository of analytical models, scenarios, and data for future studies.

  • Provide weekly updates to the Wargame Branch Lead and Project Managers on current analytical status throughout the development and execution of projects.

  • Aid in the coordination, planning and execution of the design of experiments related to Wargame Branch efforts.

  • Collaborate closely with military personnel and other stakeholders to assist in refinement of project modeling for data output.

  • Translate CONOPS into operational level analytical objectives and metrics for analysis.

  • Analyze collected data and extract information relevant to the problem being addressed.

  • Inform quantitative models and analytical tools relevant to MS&A activities.

  • Write memos, reports, and other documents translating findings and recommendations for managers, executives, and other leadership officials.

  • Develop analytical reports that combine quantitative and qualitative data that can be shared to wide audience.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree relevant to the field of operations research, or related fields, such as mathematics, engineering and computer science. Consideration will be taken for BBAs with a hard science concentration or analysis.

  • Must have knowledge in statistical modeling, and be willing to learn, and become familiar with the modeling and simulation frameworks leveraged for projects.

  • Must be able to translate analytical result to stakeholders.

  • Must have knowledge or be willing to learn and understand how to integrate and leverage M&S tools including, but not limited to: AFSIM, NGTS, PROTEUS, MANA, VBS, JCATS, STORM, and others as required by the appointed tasks, to enable proper collection of simulation data for analysis.

  • Must be able to socialize the analytical capabilities to keep leadership informed of emerging analytical expertise that resides in operations research activities.

  • Must be able to have knowledge in working with Microsoft applications such as but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and have a full knowledge in each application sufficient to present analytical findings in various methods of delivery, as required.

  • Must have an understanding in the development of Design of Experiment process.

  • Must be familiar with agent-based stochastic modeling, and complimenting approaches for analysis of operational and mission level analysis.

  • Familiar with reading multiple programming languages such as, but not limited to, Python, C++, C#, Visual Basic, and XML.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science Degree in Operations Research, mathematics, engineering or computer science, or other relevant operations research fields of study. Consideration will be taken for MBAs with a hard science concentration or analysis.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Current DOD Secret Clearance, with ability to acquire TS/SCI.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
