Job Title: Lead Engineer (FBIQ)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Lead Engineer in Quantico, Virginia. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for operating and maintaining chillers, boilers, site building systems and associated equipment.

  • Supervises and leads assigned personnel, maintaining a safe and efficient work place.

  • Required to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

  • Make periodic inspections of and monitor all assigned equipment and systems locally and remotely.

  • Respond to alarms, make periodic tours, and recording required data in operating logs.

  • Proficiently use test equipment and devices pertinent to building operating systems and analyze test results

  • Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences.

  • Be familiar with emergency plans and responses.

  • Respond to service calls and take corrective action.

Qualifications:

  • Must have EPA-CFC Universal Certification

  • Must have either a Journeyman HVAC license or Second Grade Stationary Engineers license in VA/MD/DC.

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with maintaining mechanical equipment for a large commercial or industrial complex.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of electrical systems, controls, chillers, generators, and life safety systems, including 3 years related experience in data center or mission critical environments.

  • Must have technical knowledge of Building Automation System, Centrifugal Chillers, Air Cooled Chillers, Fire and Water Tube Boilers, Air Handling Units, Variable Air Volume, Fan Coil Unit, and Chemical Treatment.

  • Must be familiar with emergency systems including redundancy, isolation, change over, and shut down of all utilities and mission critical systems.

  • Perform other related duties as requested.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.

  • Must have strong communication skills.

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance.

  • Must be willing to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
