About ATS:

As part of the Applied Technical Services Family of Companies, we are a premier provider of testing, inspection, and certification services across various industries.

Responsibilities:

  • No prior experience in meter calibration required. On-the-job training will be provided.

  • Prioritize and promote a safety-first culture, adhering to company expectations.

  • Safely operate company service trucks and trailers, complying with DOT/HOS regulations.

  • Perform hook-up and break down of proving equipment in the field.

  • Maintain accurate DOT digital driving logs.

  • Collaborate with the team for seamless operations.

  • Execute precise meter proving sessions under supervision.

  • Engage professionally with customers, ensuring site setup and coordination.

  • Manage required safety training certificates.

  • Perform routine vehicle, prover, or shop maintenance duties.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.

  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • U.S. Person status per ITAR regulations.

Preferred but not Required:

  • Experience in meter proving or calibration services.

  • Experience operating a utility truck pulling a trailer.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office.

  • Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license

  • Pay starts at $21.50 per hour.

  • Additional starting pay offered for candidates with CDL A or B license.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education and/or Experience: A High School diploma or equivalent. Zero to three years of experience with meter proving or calibration services is required. Additional college or technical school training, certificate or degree desired. The employee must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and be able to safely operate a utility truck pulling a trailer.

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in the English language. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as basic math, probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a demonstrated working knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) software.
