Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. Staff Geotechnical Engineer in Quakertown, Pennsylvania
Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to support our geostructural design group in our Quakertown, Pennsylvania office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with, and be mentored by, experienced PEs on a wide variety of geotechnical and geostructural projects.
Staff Geotechnical (Geostructural) Engineer Responsibilities
Subsurface investigations including borings and test pits, reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
Support senior staff in design and preparation of plans for retaining walls and support of excavation structures
Perform engineering calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, slope stability, etc. under the observation of senior staff.
Preparation of reports and plans
Provide construction materials testing and observations during the construction of MSE and support of excavation structures
Staff Geotechnical Engineer Job Requirements
AS Degree in Engineering (or related field) required
BS Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) preferred
E.I.T. preferred
Excellent writing and communication skills
CADD experience preferred
Experience with slope stability and retaining wall design software preferred
Experienced with Microsoft Office applications
