Location - Onsite, Camp Humphreys - South Korea
Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves intermediary network communication problems for end users. Ensures stable operation of the network and responds to outages. Collects system specifications, and analyzes network communication trouble conditions, and maintains documentation. Trains employees about proper use of installed functions.
Administers servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and security updates and patches.
Supports help desk by designing specifications for the help desk support system installations.
Resolves network connectivity/hardware problems and responds to network outages.
Trains the employees about the efficient usage of the resources available and protects the server from excessive load.
Collects the specifications of each network system and maintains records which can help to troubleshoot easily.
Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.
Implements network changes in the context of incident resolution, problem management, and services requests.
Installs and maintains network communication systems.
Maintains the networks which includes daily monitoring for system failures, performing daily data backups and network performance tracking.
Analyzes network communication trouble conditions and facilitates repair efforts.
Provides remote and on-site troubleshooting for network related issues.
Provides training and support in the proper use of installed software applications, telephonic and communication systems.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in a technical field
CompTIA Network+ and/or CCENT certification preferred.
2-5 years of experience in network administration.
SECRET Clearance.
Other Job Specific Skills
Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies.
Understanding of network infrastructure technologies.
Knowledge of network cabling and standard optic types.
Knowledge of industry router configurations and switch configurations.
Knowledge of Network Firewalls, Proxys, Wireless and Load Balancers.
Outstanding diagnostic, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Active Directory overall and its administrative components.
Excellent oral and written communications skills are required as well as strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Knowledge of computing systems hardware with the ability to provide

Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role.
