TheDirect Support Professional (DSP)provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Wiccopee House is located in the town of Putnam Valley, NY, which is known for its beautiful hiking trails. The house is also located minutes from Mohegan Lake, Peekskill, Cortland Manor, and Yorktown, enabling access to local stores and restaurants for everyone to enjoy. This gorgeous home has 7 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bathrooms that are currently occupied by 3 women and 5 men. The level of care for the folks living here is unique to each individual, which provides a nice variety for those working here in this home. Here at Wiccopee House we have come to be known within the agency, as well as in the community, for our collective love and passion for not only music, but for singing karaoke. A high school diploma or GED is desired. Post-high-school education in Human Services is a definite plus. An acceptable NYS driver's license and basic computer knowledge are a must. An informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
HOURS: 40 hours weekly - Thursday thru Sunday 10p - 8a
Starting Salary: $18.44 - $20.29 per hour with additional shift differentials as applicable
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED is preferred
Acceptable NYS Driver's License
Computer skills
