Job DescriptionOverviewThe Property Tax Senior Analyst position will report into the Tax Director and is based out of our Plano, TX Headquarters. This is a hybrid role that will require coming into the office at 3 days a weekResponsibilities* Prepare, conduct and negotiate property tax appeals on Tier I properties of assigned portfolio* Reviews tax returns/bills or other documents to ensure tax compliance of assigned portfolio. * Management of property tax audits of assigned portfolio.* Responds to questions about business transactions from business units or departments.* Coach and provide instruction to lower-level professional staff* Participates in the development and implementation of tax strategy* Develops/Defends business “Annual Operating Plan” for property taxes.* Review of reconciliations/journal entries for the accurate recording of tax liabilities. Provides information and assistance to financial reporting team and outside auditors.* Responsible for complex valuation projects to drive tax savings opportunities.* Prepare documentation to support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX 404) controls and procedures.* Perform tax research to keep current with new and changing tax laws.* Assist in the development/implementation of new software releases, change requests and enhancements as they pertain to tax functionality.* Work independently, as well as within a cross-functional project team environment.* Support "tax customers" on special projects, new products and assessments. * Support internal economic development group related to property tax projects.* Support tax department technology needs as they relate to compliance, reporting, analytics and controls.* Support tax technology process and requirements throughout the development life cycle (i.e. requirements documentation, test plans, validation, production support, etc).* Research and determine state and local tax obligations and responsibilities.* Performs pertinent valuation analysis, prepares appraisal reports as substantive evidential submission to taxing authorities.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:* 5+ years experience in Property Tax a must (including experience filing property tax returns)* Must have prior knowledge of valuation and appeals and application before assessing jurisdictions.* Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel a must (Pivot Table/Data Audit)* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing* Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines* Ability to work as part of a team* Ability to apply tax law to business planning* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Preferred Requirements:* Experience with PTMS tax software * SAP/Oracle ERP systems highly prefered* IPT Property Tax CMI designation* Budgeting experience* Credits and incentives experience* Multi state/national property tax experienceCompensation and Benefit Details:* The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300 based on a full-time schedule.* Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.* Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.* Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.In addition to salary, PepsiCo offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees and their families, subject to elections and eligibility: Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Health and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Insurance (Accident, Group Legal, Life), Defined Contribution Retirement Plan.EEO StatementAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.PepsiCo is an Equal Opportunity Employer: Female / Minority / Disability / Protected Veteran / Sexual Orientation / Gender IdentityIf you'd like more information about your EEO rights as an applicant under the law, please download the available EEO is the Law & EEO is the Law Supplement documents.
