Red Hat Workday Systems Analyst in Pune, India

About the job :

Red Hat is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Workday Systems Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for configuring and supporting changes within Workday. You will collaborate closely with our technical partners to manage tasks assigned in JIRA and ensure seamless implementation. This position requires strong communication skills to clarify work requirements and ensure precision in execution.

What will you do?

  • Configuration and Support: Configure Workday according to specified requirements and provide ongoing support for changes and enhancements.

  • Task Management: Partner with technical teams to receive and manage tasks through JIRA, ensuring all assigned work is clear and actionable.

  • Business Logic Design: Design and configure complex business logic rules to ensure accurate and timely calculations (which will feed through our payroll integrations).

  • Problem-Solving: Address and resolve complex problems through configuration, with a focus on achieving desired outcomes.

  • Agile Methodologies: Apply agile project methodologies to manage and execute tasks efficiently.

  • Module Expertise: Primarily work with the Time and Absence modules, while cross-training in other Workday modules to support broader team needs.

  • Peer Review: Assist in peer review of configurations completed by team members to ensure consistency and accuracy.

What will you bring?

  • 2+ years experience with Workday across various functional areas within HCM, advanced experience in Absence and Time Tracking.

  • Hands-on experience in implementing and configuring Workday HCM modules, including the creation of business processes and calculated fields.

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and make informed decisions based on business needs and focus areas.

  • Strong collaboration skills for effectively working with technical partners who will be assigning tasks.

  • Proficiency in generating and populating Workday EIB templates, and loading data using advanced Excel skills.

  • Strong technical troubleshooting abilities, including debugging and issue analysis.

  • Excellent documentation skills for managing change, configurations, and procedural records.

  • Experience handling confidential data.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience using Jira to monitor and track the progress of user stories

  • Workday Pro Certification (in any related module including: HCM, Comp, Absence, Time Tracking, Recruiting)

  • Completed Workday courses

  • Experience with the SAFe Agile methodology
