Philips Product Quality Manager in Pune, India

Your Role

The Product Quality Manager is part of a global organization that delivers impact to multiple businesses within Philips. The role manages high-impact sustaining LCM work, and obsolesce management of all project activities in compliance with the defined MLD process that enables Philips to reduce supply chain risk, align with Philips’ strategic supply base and optimize supply chain flexibility. The primary function within this role is to execute fast-paced change requests with high quality and adherence to the Philips process. In addition, you will perform project management roles & technical support to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for resolving all technical challenges related to PCBA boards during the LCM work and obsolescence management. Which also includes resolving product specification challenges, consulting with subject matter experts to guide suppliers, reverse engineering, driving design review workshops, developing test fixtures, etc.

  • Support the business case development for MLD projects

  • Drive process to deliver the right outcome for stakeholders

  • Identify risks and manage them with the right mitigation actions

  • Responsible for developing, communicating, and managing detailed project schedules, Change requests that support higher-level program schedules, and ensuring communication within STET and BU cross-functionally.

  • Ensuring the achievement of ALL MLD targets for the project(s) at milestones (supplier support, cost, on-time delivery of materials, quality, qualification of parts, processes, and equipment)

  • Gather project requirements for project scoping & investments

  • Gathers content and works with the R&D, OMM and Procurement Engineering to define requirements

  • Ensure change release & approvals in place (internal activities)

  • Monitor/analyze to ensure the accuracy of multi-tier BOM’s (completeness of structures, effectivities, etc.)

  • Manage E2E project execution as assigned by the functional manager

Education/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.

  • 10+ years’ experience in a high-tech industry, with 5+ Years of relevant working experience with a focus on all aspects of Project development and Execution demonstrating a record of project management success both in results achieved and in the use of professional methodology.

  • Preferred to have experience driving change management for component obsolesce.

Qualification Profile:

  • Experience in the design cycle of high-tech electronic components, assemblies, and/or electromechanical systems

  • Results-oriented with a strong bias for action

  • Ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional relationships

  • Analytical and strategic thinking

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, across functions and organizational layers; proven ability to manage relationships at all org levels.
