Job Summary

Tax Data CoE team caters to providing the automation solution for 250 odd Tax team. This includes 1) Data Analytics/Data wrangling and 2) Power Platform.

The Tax Data Associate Analyst plays a crucial role in the Eaton Tax Technology Group. This group is responsible for global tax systems and technology solutions related to tax compliance and reporting. The Tax Data Analyst focuses on documenting tax compliance flows for direct and indirect taxes across 175 countries, involving more than $5 billion in taxes. Their responsibilities include designing efficient data collection and reporting processes from various financial systems into the tax compliance systems used by the global Tax department. Additionally, they drive process improvements and streamline financial and tax-related data projects.

Job Responsibilites

• Utilize tools and technologies such as Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and data analytics (Python, Alteryx, Dataiku).

• Awareness in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, with an understanding of cloud computing principles is an add-on but not a must have.

• Awareness on GL data from SAP and Oracle ERP/Financials is an add-on, but not a must have.

• Prepare raw data using SQL, Power Query, Alteryx, or Python, and create visualizations using self-service tools like Excel pivots and Power BI.

• Reconcile data from multiple financial systems against a single legal entity, transitioning from manual to automated reconciliation.

• Evaluate existing processes and propose strategic improvements for efficient financial data flow.

• Serve as an interface between the Tax Department and IT for report-related issues.

• Support ad hoc tax audits across Eaton’s global jurisdiction, working closely with Tax managers and IT teams.
