Cummins Inc. Spark Ignited Controls Technical Project Lead in Pune, India
DESCRIPTION
This leadership position focuses on the development and integration of electronic and electrical systems for Cummins products, with a primary emphasis on the Spark Ignited projects. The Spark Ignited Controls Technical Project Lead will manage the integration efforts across various teams and locations, ensuring the successful development and validation of hardware and software systems. The role requires proficiency in Cummins’ specific platforms, control systems, and technical tools. Additionally, the Project Lead will manage project scope, resources, and schedules, while coaching and mentoring less-experienced developers and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Controls function for Spark Ignited projects and programs.
Oversee integration efforts across multiple Cummins and non-Cummins teams, working across different locations.
Translate product requirements into hardware and software technical specifications.
Lead configuration (tuning) and validation testing of fully integrated systems.
Manage project scope, resources, and timelines, ensuring timely delivery.
Investigate and resolve issues related to electronic application and systems, recommending appropriate actions.
Ensure robust, reusable, and efficient designs through review and guidance of junior team members.
Apply and improve electronic application and systems development processes, including system specification, modeling, simulation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
Develop and manage technical documentation and presentations.
Serve as a mentor and coach to engineers and project team members, fostering the next generation of technical experts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Experience:
Experience in technical leadership roles, with demonstrated problem-solving and project management abilities.
Build proficiency in Cummins' Electronics architecture platforms from legacy to the latest one.
Familiarity with Cummins-specific development software tools and development processes.
Hands-on experience with Matlab/Simulink for system design and testing.
Project management skills, including the ability to manage scope, resources, and schedules.
Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Prior experience with AUTOSAR or related architecture is a plus.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field required.
Master’s degree in a related field preferred for certain roles.
