Johnson Controls Software Engineer - Data Scientist in Pune, India

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Management/Quality Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of our organization's data assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement data management strategies, data quality frameworks, and data governance processes. Your expertise in data analysis, data cleansing, and data quality assurance will be instrumental in maintaining data consistency and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data assets

  • Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data quality standards and establish data governance processes

  • Design and implement data cleansing and data quality assurance procedures to improve data accuracy and completeness

  • Develop and maintain data quality metrics and reports to monitor and track data quality performance

  • Conduct regular data audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure effective data integration, data migration, and data validation processes

  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data management and data quality assurance

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field

  • Strong experience with Cloud Informatica Data Quality and Data Governance

  • 5+ years of Informatica IDQ experience

  • 2+ years of Informatica CDQ, CDGC experience

  • Familiar with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms

  • 5+ years of Strong SQL skills for data analysis and manipulation

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data issues

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • A team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced work culture

  • Proven experience in data management, data quality assurance, or a similar role

  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and data quality management tools

  • Experience in developing and maintaining data quality metrics and reports

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
