Position Overview

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our Global Delivery and Solutions Team in Customer Success Services Organisation. You will add technical leadership to the implementation team to provide software design & architectural input. You will create/package solutions and strategies which will help customers move to Autodesk cloud-enabled technologies and work hands-on with internal Autodesk partners and external partners. You will build relationships with other organisations within Autodesk namely and not limited to, Engineering, Product Management and Industry Strategy to understand and influence customer/market needs in Architecture, Engineering , Construction and/or manufacturing space.

Responsibilities

• Understand and document requirements to produce repeatable solutions

• Document architecture and implementation process to deploy solutions

• Work with partner's business and technical team to understand requirements, design solutions using best practices

• Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards

• Lead and Mentor developers and 3rd party consultants

• Participate in large scale projects involving other teams

• Create Implementation Strategy White papers for customers in order to adopt Autodesk Cloud solutions

• Work with project managers and project sponsors to provide enterprise solutions to specific business issues across many domains

• Collaborate with the broader architecture community to ensure that their solutions align with target architectures and technology roadmaps

• Preparation and presentation of project documentation for the customer stakeholders

• Evaluate design approaches, make architectural recommendations, and implement improvements to adoption strategies

• Present "point of view" on implementation roadmap to multiple types of stakeholders

• Develop "reference architectures" and promote re-use in implementing Autodesk technologies

• Be an "Advisor" to Autodesk partners and consultants to guide them to success

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale, customer-facing, web and cloud applications

• Strong .NET skills. Our language of choice on the server-side is .NET

• You understand object-oriented design and at least one modern backend framework

• You have written clean, testable and effective code

• Candidate have implemented applications in Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google.

• You have Architected solutions to integrate workflow from traditional desktop to cloud applications

• You have practical experience in creating data model for popular database platforms like Microsoft SQL Server , NOSQL databases

• Practical experience building RESTful web services

• Hands-on experience in JavaScript

• Experience with UI frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, AngularJS, BackboneJS, jQuery)

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar field

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with a relevant Engineering degree or 10+ years with an advanced degree

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong experience with Amazon Web Services OR Azure

• Experience in solutions in Architecture, Engineering and/or Construction Industry

• Knowledge of or Certified in Architecture Assessment Methods like TOGAF

• Document architecture using ArchiMate notational language

• Presented and acted as "advisor" to stakeholders in past job history

• Experience with Autodesk Technologies in AEC or Manufacturing Industry

• Passionate for open source technologies

• Leadership experience as a Tech Lead, or Architect in previous roles
