Job Description

As a constantly growing company, Danfoss is looking for motivated employees who want to work with us on our success. We are looking for Senior Engineer, the employee will be part Rubber Hydraulics Hose & Fitting (RHHF) team in Fluid Conveyance group within Danfoss India Innovation Centre, Pune and will be reporting to Engineering Manager, RHHF team.

Contributes by independently leading key/large product development projects or multiple small product development projects for Hydraulic hoses based on Global market requirements

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

Leads design and development of hydraulic hoses for New Product Development projects in Fluid Conveyance product group to meet customer specific technical, cost, market and technology requirements. Consistently identifies opportunities for product cost reduction to improve margins and keep Danfoss competitive through adoption of new technology and improved manufacturing processes. Provides leadership in meeting product quality, cost and project schedule. Lead innovation and continuous improvement while executing the projects pertaining to new product introduction and Cost out.

Background & Skills

Minimum requirements to educational background:

  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Engineering / Rubber Technology

  • Desired: Master’s Degree in Polymer Engineering / Rubber Technology

  • Minimum requirements to working experience

  • Min 7-10 years’ experience for Bachelor’s degree or Min 5-8 Years of experience for Master’s degree, in Hydraulic Hose design & Rubber compounding

  • Proven knowledge of DFSS tools like FMEA. DVPR, PDSC etc.

  • Hose architecture design & Tube/Cover compounding

Success Criteria’s:

  • Lead new product development/ New technology introduction / Cost out projects independently.

  • OTD: Milestone completed on time

  • Cost out: # of CO project initiated, $K contributed to funnel & realization

  • DFX methodology deployment

  • Release of design guides, BOK / Technical paper
