The Financial Services arm of Global Business Service Center (GBSC) is tasked with the mission to add value by delivering operational excellence, enhanced customer experiences, and focused business results.

Role

Oversee assigned tasks in the accounting and revenue acceptance processes for the Contra Revenue line particularly: rebates, incentives, advisor services, waivers, and claw backs.

Responsibilities

• Play a pivotal role in the Advisors revenue acceptance process by reviewing and approving availability of funds for advisors’ services.

• Communicate and collaborate with account managers to resolve issues related to funds availability, maximize revenue while tapping revenue leakages.

• Run Sales Force Database reports to review contracts/deals executed with customers & capture financial elements into Contra Revenue System (CRS).

• Lead Country call meetings with the business managers to review and adjust accruals basis deal performance

• Ensure and manage a timely and accurate financial close, including creation and review of journal entries

• Preparation of GL recons for Waivers, Rebates, Advisors, and variance analysis of actual v/s forecast

• Preparation of various analytics, metric reports and assisting in quarterly reporting for corporate team

• Assist with project specific work related to Rebates and Incentive, Advisors rejections for the region

Competencies

• Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and current accounting concepts

• Advance MS Excel and financial/ERP systems, preferably direct experience with Oracle

• Strong foundation and experience in accounting

• Ability to produce accurate and reliable outputs/results

• Strong bias on controls and ensuring that processes and procedures are followed

• Results orientated with an ability to work under pressure and have a structured approach to deliverables

• Focused on achieving key outputs, with a sense of urgency and in a professional manner

• Able to adjust to improve/automate processes and systems – should be agile to adapt

• Ability to communicate effectively with account managers and fellow colleagues at various management levels

• Proactively builds relationships with business partners

• Experience performing basic issue resolution, gains exposure to the resolution of complex issues

• Prior experience in supporting business process transitions and process improvements projects

• Capable of working within a changing environment with excellent analytical, planning and organization skills

• Progressive accounting experience preferably in a large, global environment

Education/Certification

Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Chartered accountant / CPA Preferred)

Job Overview:

Manages all accounting, including revenue recognition, expense recording, and timely and accurate closes. Ensures the preparation of accurate, reliable, and timely reporting of financial statements and other financial data in accordance with applicable SEC, U.S., GAAP, statutory and regulatory requirements. Keeps abreast of changes to accounting requirements to ensure ongoing compliance. Develops and implements company wide accounting policies in conformance with GAAP and current accounting pronouncements. Prepares period-by-period analyses and explains significant account variances. Develops and implements cost-effective controls to promote data integrity and minimize risk. Monitors compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures and with all regulatory requirements

Major Accountabilities:

• Closing the books in a timely and accurate manner.

• Reconcile and review various general ledger accounts for discrepancies and unusual fluctuations. Analyze financial results compared to prior periods, forecasts and budgets and prepare explanations for variances.

• Engages in quarterly and year-end audits.

• Identify opportunities to streamline departmental workflow; enhance departmental efficiencies and promote continued quality service.

• Interact with professionals and managers in other departments and follow-up on requests and inquiries.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Knowledge / Experience:

• Thorough knowledge of general accounting practices usually acquired through work experience. Experience analyzing, interpreting and summarizing financial data.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Knowledge of Oracle Financials preferred

• Detail oriented; Strong analytical and communication skills

Work Conditions:

• Reports to the Leader of Accounting.

• Receives guidance on a day-to-day basis.
