Eaton Corporation Market Research Analyst in Pune, India

What you’ll do:

• Provide well-researched analysis and actionable intelligence to determine growth opportunities, market positioning, and strategic business issues.

• Gather and evaluate relevant market and competitor information to review market position, determine threats, benchmark competitor marketing activities and regularly advise of activities – acquisitions, marketing efforts, press releases, etc.

• Assist to perform insightful, forward looking in-depth market/competitor research and analysis and deliver the business intelligence reports of financial, commercial (market /customer /competitor), technology and operational trends regularly

• Partner and support the business leaders in their decision-making process by providing well-researched analysis and actionable intelligence that would address the key business challenges.

• Lead/ co-lead analysis presentation calls to internal customers to discuss research findings, conclusions and specifically presenting recommendations for business to take actions on.

• Acts as an individual contributor and ensures that the quality of the output is at the highest level

Qualifications:

  • Position requires a Masters degree, preferably an MBA with at least 3-5 years' work experience in strategic consulting and planning, market research and analysis.

Skills:

Candidate must possess strong analytical and strategic thinking skills. Attention to detail a must along with a desire to make an impact. Job requires proficient English communication skills, including writing clear reports and creating concise presentations. This position demands excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and above average Microsoft Word and Internet research capabilities. Must have a basic understanding of financial statements. The person should be capable to work on short turnaround adhoc tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously (time and project management skills).

• Primary and secondary research experience

• Experience with market trends, customer expectations and economic analysis as provided by internal and external data sources

• Able to articulate insights in a concise way, both written and verbal.

• Well-read on a wide variety of subjects and the ability to interpret macro-economic factors which impact economics, politics and business environment in general.

• Ability to connect the dots and generate insights, prioritize business questions and recommendations.

• Excellent written and oral communications skills

• Relationship management skills – direct team members and cross-functionally

• Problem solving mindset: must possess the ability to come up with different solutions

• Should be able to present thoughts in a concise and clear manner
