Manager, Product Development - Cross-Border Services

Overview

Mastercard Cross-Border Services helps banks, digital partners and non-bank financial institutions modernize their cross-border payment services to provide senders (entities and individuals) with faster, more transparent, and more secure payments through multiple channels and payout methods. Cross-Border Services specializes in payments for any purpose: business to business (B2B), P2P, P2B, B2P/B2C, G2P payments and a variety of payout options including bank accounts, mobile money accounts, consumer cards, and retail cash pick-up.

Mastercard’s Cross Border Services Product Platform team is responsible for innovative product development through platform management to support Cross Border service offerings. Product Platform team supports the Cross Border’s Product Roadmap and is responsible for driving the alignment of business and technology by working with cross-functional stake holders (internal and external) and defining the specifications of the Cross Border Product capabilities

What are we looking for?

Role

• Serves as Product owner in an agile environment responsible for creating functional and nonfunctional requirements. Work on System/Product documentation and capture product capabilities and translate into customer facing implementation guides

• Decompose the functional and non-functional requirements into user stories, prioritize the backlog, define the acceptance criteria, accept the stories and features.

• Draft the functional and non- functional requirements in the form of process flows

• Close collaboration with multiple stake holders globally across different Cross Border Platforms (Bank and Non-Bank)- Includes Software Engineers, Testers, Product Commercialization, Product Strategy, Regions, Customer Implementation teams

• Strong knowledge on Payments via different channels including APIs and File processing (SWIFT and ISO)

• Work closely with technology teams and assist in developing good solutioning applicable across different platforms of Cross Border Services

• Participate in architecture reviews to ensure the solution adheres to Product expectation

• Work closely with other members of Product Platform team and share the knowledge base through trainings and clear documentation

• Participate to Cross-Border Services operational reviews, and address issues and improvements with Technology and Payment Operations

• Assist with Platform training to be provided to larger Product community

All About You

• Strong Analytical/Problem solving skills

• Autonomous and must be able to work independently in a very fast paced environment

• Experience defining and building cloud-native software products as a platform at scale

• Strong experience in decision making based on data sets and must participate towards process improvements

• 5-7 years product development experience

• Must possess strong communication skills (oral and written). Demonstrate experience in challenging the product and technical communities when appropriate to build proper solutioning

• Experience in agile delivery methodologies (scrum, Kanban, etc.)

• Experience building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders, partnering with, and influencing teams while maintaining the respect for the individuals

• Experience on FX, Compliance and Billing preferrable

• Experience in FX, SWIFT or ACH systems, especially acquired within a bank is a major plus

• Knowledge of authorization, clearing and/or settlement systems and processes

• Demonstrate leadership in taking accountability, acting with a sense of urgency, and delivering plans with passion, ambition, and aptitude

• Must exhibit good adaptability and motivation
