Citigroup IT Infra Quality Intmd Analyst - C11 - PUNE in Pune, India

The Infrastructure/ IT Quality Intmd Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems. Integrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family. Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information. Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Infrastructure Quality and timeliness of service provided will affect the effectiveness of own team and other closely related teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strong working relationship with technology teams, project management teams and ability to communicate at all levels.

  • Work with the core development teams with proactive communications to solicit their prompt feedback and approvals, to ensure the timely delivery of requirements. Identify business impacts and potential business process changes for any new developments

  • Effectively manage day-to-day tasks / activities in coordination with a team of developers to meet the deliverables and schedule of an infrastructure solution within a larger application project.

  • Create complex project plans, perform impact analyses solve/work high impact problems/projects, and provide resolutions to restore services

  • Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting streams, and create automation of repetitive tasks

  • Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and examine and update processes and procedures as necessary

  • Provide technical/strategic direction and act as advisor/coach to lower-level analysts

  • Develop projects required for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking activities and best practices

  • Responsible for overall operating system applications

  • Contribute to technical direction and strategic decisions

  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.

  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

  • Lend support to various application teams by organizing infrastructure related scope of work and planning to meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience in managing infrastructure build for business-critical applications.

  • Partner with other infra leads across business departments and service delivery management teams to drive program governance and reporting (EOVS, Financial, Quality and Control, Technology initiative trends, variances, etc.)

  • Support development community. This includes documenting systems, database and middleware design as well as infrastructure requests, contributing to the delivery and Go Live of application components.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in Infrastructure Technologies delivery with a proven track record of operational process change and improvement

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience

  • Ability to work with virtual and in-person teams, and work under pressure or to a deadline

  • Experience in a Financial Services or large complex and/or global environment preferred

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Effective analytic/diagnostic skills

  • Over 2 years of experience working in Technology group in a large enterprise

  • Extensive experience in Technology Project implementation and good understanding of the Technology Stack in Distributed systems

  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure project management including vendor engagement

  • Basic knowledge in financials to help keep track of forecast vs. actuals

  • Experience in writing range of technology physical and logical requirements and, Tech stack Functional Requirements Document, Build document, Dependencies mapping, etc.

  • Experience in driving business results through effective use of technology solutions

  • Exposure to front/middle/back-office application stack

  • Experience with Infrastructure reporting and presentation

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Industry certification such as ITIL, Prince2 is a plus

  • Knowledge of industry standard tools e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.

  • Intermediate level skills in SQL, Windows, Linux, Databases, Middle tier

  • Project Management experience: gathering scope, creating work breakdown structure and dependencies, tracking cost and time variance

  • Effective communication skills

  • Strong relationship builder, works as a partner with multiple stakeholders and business areas

  • A self-starter who can deliver well as part of a team

  • Ability to work under pressure during tight deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
