Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity and of quality for all manufacturing procedures for rotating motors and alternators.

  • Identify P& E, define investment and expense needs, driving from preparing for approvals till completion

  • Ensure all engineering designs, specifications & technical data are complete& accurately documented

  • Translate engineering BoM into manufacturing BoM including item master creation, defining routing in Oracle

  • Establish & document manufacturing process through Manufacturing Process Plan.

  • Prepare PFD, PFMEA & execute risk reduction projects across Loco lines.

  • Interface with customers, vendors and other functions in an effective manner to ensure that the technical and EHS perspective is properly conveyed.

  • Work with Customer on process and product improvements.

  • Work on Process engineering of various components of Rotating Machines

  • Lead all Process Qualifications for Rotating Machines

  • Work with CFT team for PFMEA, EHS & Quality Improvements.

  • Support on equipment layout plan, facility modification, and equipment installation and inspection acceptance.

  • Establish and improvise the manufacturing processes, support & maintain standard work development.

  • Drive cycle time reduction, cost out, Lean VSM & Kaizen events.

  • Participate in design reviews with Engg/TTA and take actions to improve the manufacturability of the product.

  • Monitor & improve Product cost, productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality & compliant manner

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering Mechanical / Electrical from an accredited college or university

  • Minimum 5-8 years of work experience in manufacturing industry.

  • Experienced in Rotating machines manufacturing processes.

  • Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma knowledge & training

  • Proficiency in Lean, Oracle applications & MS Office

  • Strong EHS Background
