In Finance, Market and Credit Risk Technology (FMCRT) we’re pushing the limits of technology. Our products and initiatives adhere to Citi’s strategic architecture principles and support the end-to-end integration of multiple global functions within the bank including Finance, Risk, and Controllers.
The Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information.
Own the product backlog, grooming and prioritization of features based on understanding of the user needs to maximize product value in line with product vision.
Help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results, conduct personnel duties for team and assist in identifying and removing product development blockers.
Oversee all aspects of program life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and the competitive fields to contribute to the achievement of acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue performance, and expense management goals.
Define user stories, wireframes and SOPs.
Support the Development and QA team throughout the SDLC to answer/ clarify any requirements.
Support with testing validation before roll-out of features to users.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk and impact when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in business analysis with a proven track record of leading business analysis efforts on large scale projects.
Hands-on experience building tech products that solve real and pressing problems in highly complex and regulated environments
Proven ability to prioritize feature based on deep user understanding.
A deeply analytical and experimental mindset. Proven ability to use data to inform and validate decision
Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines
Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving techniques, to synthesize and present complex information to stakeholders of various.
A passion for building great products and processes, as well as challenging the status quo.
Good to have:
Experience working in fast-faces, agile teams and preferable Startup environments
Experience working in FinTech, with any low code automation tools like Appian will be a preference.
Certified Scrum product Owner will be an added advantage.
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
