Job Description

OFSAA regulatory compliance data architecture creates a structure on which firms can standardize their approach to managing regulatory data for finance, risk and other functions. The platform integrates data from multiple internal systems and external sources.

This can be used to analyze market, credit and liquidity risk, and for compliance purposes. The result is a consistent approach to data across the entire enterprise, providing our clients with the capability to make the link between finance, risk and regulatory reporting. OFSAA solutions are enriched with this value-added content which saves firms valuable time and resources when faced with increasingly complex and changing regulatory requirements.

OFSAA Regulatory Compliance product development group is looking for Regulatory Analyst roles. As a member of the product development division, you will be part of the product management group.

The role requirements are:

  • To read and understand the Central Bank or other supra national regulations, across Jurisdictions.

  • Interpret the requirements in terms of the OFSAA data model and define the specifications. Includes Functional testing of the product

  • Creation of product documentation and other marketing collateral.

  • The ideal candidate should have good understanding of following aspects of an typical financial institution:

  • Financial products and its nature of transaction and record keeping, across portfolio.

  • Bank's or FIs source Systems, so as to interpret and establish it in terms of OFSAA standard data model.

  • Experience in regulatory reporting, exposure to Basel norms for capital and liquidity requirement is desirable.

  • The role would include duties and tasks of varied and complex nature, needing independent judgment.

  • Candidate should be a strong team player with good communication skills, both written and oral.

  • The role will involve fostering relationships with other groups within and out of the business unit, so needs good collaboration skills.

  • Technical knowledge is not mandatory but basic understanding RDBMS or sql queries will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise within the functional domain, ensuring deep knowledge of processes, systems, and regulatory requirements.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to support continuous improvement.

  • Translate business needs into functional requirements that can be easily understood and implemented by technical teams.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define clear, actionable business requirements.

  • Develop functional designs based on requirements to ensure that solutions meet business needs.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the designs are feasible and aligned with system architecture and capabilities.

  • Document the design specifications and workflows to support system development and implementation.

  • Navigate and simplify complex business and technical challenges, ensuring that solutions are both effective and scalable.

  • Break down complicated processes and systems into manageable components for easier understanding and implementation.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and efficient execution of initiatives.

  • Facilitate open communication and knowledge sharing among team members to drive collaboration.

  • Actively contribute to team discussions and decision-making, ensuring that all perspectives are considered.

  • Focus on achieving high performance and delivering results within agreed timelines and quality standards.

  • Set clear goals and priorities, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

  • Continuously monitor progress and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure timely and successful execution.
