Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
Conduct research to assess the molecular ecology of insect vectors of plant pathogens.
Such work will include:
• Conducting experiments with insects, pathogens, and plants
• Leading the lab molecular facility
The postdoctoral scholar will also be expected to work as a mentor of graduate and undergraduate students within the lab and collaborate on a variety of projects that involve molecular biology in the laboratory. There will be some travel required, including overnight visits to field sites and travel to collaborating universities.
Required Qualifications:
• PhD in entomology, virology, plant pathology, biology, or a related field.

Annual Salary:
$67,725.00 - $70,000.00
In accordance with https://app.leg.wa.gov/RCW/default.aspx?cite=49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
