Director, Master's of Social Work (MSW) Program Available Title(s): 164-NNFACULTY - Clinical Assistant Professor - Career, 165-NNFACULTY - Clinical Associate Professor - Career, 166-NN_FACULTY - Clinical Professor - Career Business Title: Director, Master's of Social Work (MSW) Program Employee Type: Faculty Time Type: Full time Position Term: 12 Month Position Details: DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The College of Nursing at Washington State University Tri-Cities (WSU Tri-Cities) invites applications for a full-time career-track faculty position with a 12-month administrative appointment. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a new program in social work at the master's level (MSW) which includes the creation of materials required for the accreditation process through the Council on Social Work Education. Applicants are also expected to teach courses and engage in on-going work related to the impact of social and economic inequities on under served communities. The Director of the MSW is expected to initiate and contribute to all accreditation requirements from CSWE, as well as assisting with the new degree proposal process at the university. Applications from candidates with demonstrated expertise are encouraged. The successful candidate will be expected to provide outstanding teaching at the graduate level, actively engage in clinical scholarship, contribute to professional and University service, and participate broadly in the social work curriculum. The position is located on the Washington State University Tri-Cities campus in Richland, WA. The successful candidate is anticipated to begin the appointment on August 1, 2024, and is negotiable. RANK: This is a full time, continuous, career-track faculty appointment with a fixed-term administrative role. The initial appointment for the administrative role is one year. This appointment will be hired at the Clinical Assistant, Associate or Full Professor Rank in Social Work, commensurate with qualifications and experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Initiate the accreditation process and pre-candidacy requirements from CSWE. • Lead the new degree proposal following the university process. • Develop and teach graduate courses in social work. • Advise and mentor graduate students. • Contribute to advancing social work education and research. • Participate in service to the department, college and/or university through committee work, recruitment, and interaction with local and regional stakeholders. • Advance the college's commitment to diversity and multiculturalism among its faculty, staff, students through research, teaching, and community outreach with relevant programs, goals, and activities. • Collaborate closely with other appropriate faculty throughout WSU, including but not limited to colleagues with interest and expertise in the appli
