Job Title: Program Assistant

FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt Reports to: Corps officer

Schedule: FT, Hourly (35-40 hours) Supervises: N/A

Start Date: TBD

Rate of Pay : $20/hour

Close on: 9/30/2024

Benefits : Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

Function: Assist with the EOC utilities programs and Social Services. Assist with enabling the Social Worker to focus more on the one-on-one Pathways of Hope case management and resources with clients. Processing clients through the computer for Food Pantry. Seeking out new ways to serve our community where needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide Bulleted List of Position Responsibilities:

  • Have staff work with Pathway of Hope and work with the clients who are seeking utility and rental assistance one-on-one.

  • To Assist with deepening community outreach, improving marketing, and visibility for TSA Pueblo Corps programs.

  • Coordinate and assist with the cleanup of the property.

  • Assist the Pueblo Team with programs and Services during the day, when needed.

  • To assist Social Services with intake, clerical, and office work when needed.

  • Coordinate and assist with meal plans for programs, during the day when needed.

  • Attend staff meetings.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Continued employment will be contingent on a biennial (every 2 years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.

  • If the position includes driving responsibilities, an annual MVR will be processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.

  • If the position requires driving, a minimum of 21 years of age for insurance provision, along with the possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.

  • High School graduate or equivalent. Higher Level of education and or skills training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to operate telephone. Ability to lift to 25 pounds. Ability to access and produce information from the computer. Ability to understand written information. Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
