Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager who will assist the Project and Senior Project Managers with the administrative tasks surrounding the design phase, pre-construction, and construction phase project management. This includes managing scope, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, out-to-bid process, and overseeing the work of the design team.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Project Management team to help manage and estimate construction projects.

• Complete engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.

• Review drawings for correctness.

• Assemble miscellaneous details necessary to prepare job bid proposals.

• Develop relationships with sub-contractors and interact with them to secure necessary information for job bids.

• Support Project Manager in collecting the necessary information to complete the monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report.

• Assist with projecting and adherence to job budget and timing of tasks.

• Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and surfacing issues to be resolved. Interface with sub-contractors as necessary to meet schedule.

• Control project costs by recommending expenditures and administering contractor contracts.

• Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, recommending actions.

• Travel to job site locations when necessary to review progress and provide solutions to challenges.

• Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Maintain project database by updating our construction systems.

• Be available to support the Project Manager to answer any customer inquiry.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Responsible for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction for all assigned projects.

• Manage the implementation and management of HVAC equipment projects and be accountable for assigned projects' scope of work, schedule, etc.

• Manage a portfolio of projects that could contain both smaller and larger multi-building or complex construction projects.

• Manage project scope, cost, schedule by reviewing contract documents, holding internal meetings, establishing customer expectations, identifying risks, and developing mitigation plans.

• Compare estimated ship dates with contractor’s project schedule and ensure compliance with internal equipment ordering processes.

• Maintain the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion and control expenses by monitoring assigned project budget.

• Strong communication skills, proactive approach with willingness to work independently as well as part of a team

• Ability to meet tight deadlines within a high-paced environment with attention to detail

Work Environment

This role involves working in an office environment with on-site visits to project locations. You will have the opportunity to interface with executives of a Fortune 500 company and gain exposure to state-of-the-art Data Centers. The role offers potential for work to continue for the next 3+ years.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $48.08
