Denali Universal Services Executive Housekeeper - North Slope, AK in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for the overall day-to-day functions and quality of work performed by commercial laundry, housekeeping, and janitorial staff at the assigned remote camp(s).
This position will be working a rotational schedule of 3 weeks on /3 weeks off and 12-hour shifts at a remote camp located on the North Slope of Alaska. Flights to/from Anchorage and to the job site will be paid by the company. Covered meals and lodging at the job site. Point of hire: Anchorage, AK.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in housekeeping or hospitality industry with at least 2 years of supervisory experience. Remote camp experience preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong training, coaching and employee development skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass the Companys pre-employment screening process, including drug screen, criminal background investigation, and post-offer physical.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Current NSTC certification or the ability to attain NSTC before dispatching to job site
- Knowledge of North Slope operations
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the delivery of successful housekeeping, commercial laundry, and janitorial services at the assigned remote camps.
- Responsible for client relations and customer satisfaction.
- This position has general supervisory responsibility for direct and indirect reports and personnel-related decisions. This includes, but is not limited to staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, employee recognition, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Conduct jobsite and safety orientation for new hires.
- Responsible for job and safety training of housekeeping, laundry and janitorial staff.
- Mentor employees while working side by side in the operation as needed.
- Responsible for scheduling and directing daily work assignments for staff.
- Conduct weekly inspections of housekeeping and janitorial work areas to insure standards are being met.
- Control staffing and housekeeping/janitorial labor costs within budget based on established population/staffing requirements.
- Book and/or submit air travel requests for employees.
- Conduct monthly chemical supply inventory.
- Conduct quarterly inventory of all cleaning supplies and linen/bedding items.
- Annual inventory of housekeeping equipment.
- Responsible for ordering cleaning supplies, equipment and chemicals within budget.
- Work with camp maintenance foreman on housekeeping, laundry and janitorial-related maintenance requirements.
- Promote and support jobsite safety.
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with all members of the crew.
- Prepare necessary reports and paperwork to ensure management is appraised of activities in the area and established goals are met.
- Interact with camp and administrative staff to accomplish common goals in a timely manner.
- Assure that all uniform regulations are being met.
