Talent Acquisition Manager needed for a Provo, Utah employer.

Job Summary

This position's primary duty is to develop, manage, and promote the campus recruiting program along with providing improvements, support, and consultation and training to campus departments. This position also administers the digital platform and drives social media engagement. In addition, this position ensures appropriate applicant screening, positive candidate experience, and creates recruiting statistical reports.

*What you'll do in this position: *

*Talent Acquisition                                                                                              *

  • Develop and manage all talent acquisition strategies for staff and administrative jobs.
  • Create tools to assist campus departments in creating job postings to attract mission-fit job applicants.
  • Consult with campus departments to assist with hard-to-fill jobs, develop unique recruiting strategies tailored to the specific characteristics of the job/department, and individually recruit for those positions.
  • Lead initiatives to cultivate and strengthen BYU's employer brand.
  • Develop metrics to determine recruiting effectiveness; analyze and prepare recruiting reports.
  • Manage, promote, and serve as the primary point of contact for digital interview platform.
  • Research recruiting platforms for consideration or to ensure the university is using what best fits the current recruiting needs. 
  • Manage, promote, and serve as the primary point of contact for the university LinkedIn page. Source applicants on LinkedIn Recruiting.
  • Conduct promotional campaigns on various recruiting and social platforms to drive increased traffic to job postings.
  • Hire, mentor, and supervise a student employee to assist with recruiting efforts.
  • Evaluate job postings for effectiveness and provide consultation for obtaining the desired applicant pool.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to improve recruiting effectiveness and candidate experience.
  • Build positive relationships with hiring departments and HR Consultants to effectively implement recruiting initiatives.

Application Screening

  • Consult with departments to determine appropriate screening requirements.
  • Screen applicants for assigned departments.
  • Address issues determined through the screening process.
  • Send and update recruiting correspondence to campus departments as needed.

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field plus 4 years HR experience OR equivalent education and experience. 

Preferred

  • Master's degree in human resources or related field plus 4 years talent acquisition experience; social media experience, and HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, HRCI PHR or SPHR).

  • Knowledge of human resource law (e.g., ADA, ADEA, FLSA, IRCA, Title VII).
  • Supervisory skills.
  • Expertise in computer software (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Social media skills/experience.
  • Workday expertise.
  • University and Human Resource Services policies and procedures. 
  • Understanding of employment and hiring processes and procedures. 

Employee Class: Administrative Work Location: Provo Campus

Environment: General office or other equivalently good environment

Pay Level: 52, 53, 54 depending on qualifications
