The Utah County Health Department seeks to prevent avoidable disease and injury and promote health by monitoring the health of the community and assuring conditions in which people can be healthy.

POSITION: Mosquito Abatement Manager POSTING #: 1060-0125ksa
The Opportunity: Under general guidance and supervision of the Executive Director -- Health, oversees, supervises, and coordinates all administrative and supervisory functions within the Utah County Mosquito Abatement Division. Ensures compliance with regulations and educates the public about mosquito-borne diseases and prevention. Incumbents in this position strive to minimize the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses while promoting environmentally sound and sustainable control practices.
Grade: 728 Starting Pay: $82,409.60 - $94,764.80 Annually Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m., may require occasional nights and weekends
Job Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Entomology or a related science field. 2. Five (5) years of management/leadership experience involving biological science or public health, of which two (2) years are in a supervisory capacity.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications: 1. Applicants must possess a State of Utah Non-commercial Pesticide Applicators License in the area of Public Health.
