Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Data Analyst to gather both technical and functional requirements, create processes and workflows, and conduct analysis in a healthcare setting, using their working knowledge of HL7/FHIR messaging protocols and experience on one or more CDRs. This position will be a full-time contract, through 12/31/2025 , and remote .
Due to our end client and project work, all candidates must be United States citizens.
What You’ll Do
Lead the translation of raw data into enterprise-ready data models through comprehensive source-to-target mapping, ensuring these models are optimized for end-user consumption
Spearhead stakeholder mapping and analysis to identify key influences and dependencies
Independently conduct in-depth multi-layer data analyses by integrating data from diverse health information sources to uncover insights and trends
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive project artifacts, documentation, and reports that support project objectives and decision-making
Partner with quality assurance teams to devise robust test scenarios that ensure data integrity and system functionality
Design strategic plans for requirement definition, detailing approach, stakeholder engagement, timelines, and deliverables
Work closely with the Project Manager, Product Owner, Functional Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Specialists, and Enterprise Architect to gather and document detailed mapping requirements
Develop essential deliverables such as source-to-target mappings, process flows, and data dictionaries using industry-leading practices and tools, ensuring stakeholder approval
Utilize agile methodologies to foster product development in a dynamic cross-functional environment
Oversee requirements scope management through established change control processes to ensure project alignment and compliance
Assist the Enterprise Architect in formulating technical solution options, crafting briefing notes, and providing technical recommendations
Engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration
Produce clear, concise documentation tailored for stakeholder understanding and decision-making
Conduct thorough research and environmental scans to inform data strategies and project direction
Maintain availability for meetings within Eastern Standard Time working hours to ensure seamless communication
Execute additional related duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
What You'll Need
Required:
A minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience as a Senior Data Analyst within the healthcare sector, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and solutions
Proficient knowledge of FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7, and APIs, essential for integrating and managing healthcare data
Exceptional ability to construct source-to-target mappings utilizing HL7/FHIR messaging protocols, adept at deciphering both technical and functional requirements, and conducting thorough analyses within healthcare environments
Proven experience in analyzing complex processes and understanding the intricate interactions among various healthcare systems to enhance interoperability and efficiency
Outstanding stakeholder engagement abilities, including leading discovery sessions, facilitating workshops, crafting agendas, eliciting requirements, and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups
Superior verbal and written communication skills, essential for articulating complex concepts clearly and effectively
Excellent organizational, time management, and documentation skills, ensuring all tasks and projects are completed efficiently and accurately
Demonstrated capability in working alongside operations teams to develop documentation that meets their needs, while supporting the creation of change management, training, and user resources
Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business teams, ensuring alignment and understanding
Extensive experience working within health sectors or large-scale health systems
A proven track record in managing large-scale healthcare interoperability or integration projects, showcasing the ability to handle complex and diverse data environments
A portfolio that clearly demonstrates expertise and experience, including integration deliverables, FHIR profiles, and implementation guides
Strong analytical, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, essential for navigating complex data landscapes and driving successful outcomes
A clear pattern of professional and personal development, reflecting a commitment to continuous improvement and growth in the data analytics field
Preferred:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person
