Position Information

Position Title Project Manager

Overview

Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration between Marcom and the College’s academic and administrative units; primarily admission, advancement, and the president’s and executive office, for the purpose of delivering tailored marketing and communications to meet the colleges strategic goals and maintain brand standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as the primary project manager for high-profile individual and multi-channel communications and marketing, enterprise-wide. Ensure maximum efficiency, consistency, and customer service. Assess project requests at point of intake, serving as the primary conduit for access to creative services within the division. Advise on workflow and delegation in consultation with divisional leadership, and in support of the college’s strategic priorities.

  • Oversee the project management and related systems used within MarCom to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and brand consistency. Serve as the primary administrator of project management tools, including Basecamp, Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365 apps, used to maximize efficiencies across the MarCom operation and to facilitate the project request/review/approval process for collaborators, such as colleagues in admission and advancement. Oversee the digital and analog review and approval process that is important to ensuring accuracy and the timely completion of print and digital marketing projects.

  • Overall responsibility for managing the processes and platforms that make brand assets accessible and useful to professional communicators throughout the college. Manage the Canva design template platform and other services that MarCom provides for the purpose of making the college’s branded visual identity and associated strategies available and accessible to communicators who create communications pieces. Serve as the department’s primary resource and adviser to communicators looking to access and properly use fonts, templates, and design assets, in addition to facilitating discussions about brand strategy and messaging consistency meant to help the college achieve strategic goals and build community.

  • Serve as the college’s primary liaison to external printing and mailing vendors and manage the collaboration among the Copy Center and MarCom and its campus partners. Work to solicit appropriate bid specifications for printing, negotiate with vendors as necessary, and oversee budgets as they relate to the production process. Serve as the department’s liaison with college administrative units working with MarCom on print/collateral projects, provide answers to questions, facilitate approvals, and solve problems as they arise.

    Marginal Duties:

  • Perform all other duties as may be required.

    Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an accredited institution

  • Two to four years of professional experience related to production, coordination and scheduling in a fast-paced work environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to work under deadline while prioritizing assignments and dealing with multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Advanced knowledge of print and digital publishing processes and graphic design software

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications

  • Excellent interpersonal and client relations skills

  • Advanced organizational ability and attention to detail

    Employee Status Full Time

    Salary Grade 20 (Min. $62,700/Mid. $81,400/Max. $100,400)

Employees are normally hired between the minimum and the midpoint of a position’s grade range to which a position has been assigned, depending on experience and qualifications.
