Data Analyst - onsite in Providence, RI

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a skilled Data Analyst to help us turn raw data into valuable insights for business decisions. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL and Excel skills to efficiently process and analyze various data sets.

Responsibility:

• Interpreting data and analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reports.

• Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

• Filtering and "cleaning" data, and reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

• Acquiring data from different data sources and maintaining databases/data systems.

• Working closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.

• Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities.

  Requirements

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst.

• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.

• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL etc), and programming.

• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to present complex information using visualization techniques.

• Strong experience with Excel for data manipulation and analysis.

• Adept at report writing and presenting findings.

• BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics preferred.
