PROSPER - TOWN OF Firefighter/Paramedic in PROSPER, Texas
The Town of Prosper is a fast-growing suburb with small town charm, located 30 miles north of Dallas at the crossroads of U.S. 380, Preston Road and the Dallas North Tollway in Collin and Denton Counties. ABOUT THE POSITION
This position performs a variety of highly technical and specialized tasks involving and/or related to fire suppression, emergency medical services, rescue, hazardous materials incidents, fire prevention, fire inspections, administration, and other special assignments as required. Supervises and controls emergency medical scenes until relieved by a higher ranking officer. Performs other duties as assigned.

Possess, at the time of application, one or both of the following valid certifications:
- Texas Commission on Fire Protection Firefighter Certification, and
- Department State Health Services Paramedic Certification
Lateral Pay Program: To be eligible for the Lateral Pay Program, candidate is eligible for a starting salary based on his or her whole years of firefighter experience. Service time for determining the starting salary, can include multiple agencies if breaks in service are less than 90 days from the date of hire.
