System One Project Engineer in Prineville, Oregon

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage projects to improve manufacturing efficiency and capacity.

  • Evaluate and implement new manufacturing processes to enhance operations.

  • Conduct ROI analyses to assess the feasibility of projects.

  • Oversee project execution with both internal and external teams.

  • Design custom equipment using CAD software (AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.)

  • Ensure engineering projects are completed successfully by setting goals, budgets, timelines, and tracking progress.

  • Develop automation projects with external partners, from start to finish.

  • Coordinate the design, purchase, and installation of machinery and equipment, working closely with Plant Operations.

  • Maintain relationships with vendors to keep equipment updated with the latest technology.

  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.

  • Contribute to maintaining safe and orderly work environments at corporate and plant levels.

  • Foster teamwork across plants and business units to drive improvements.

  • Manage projects effectively, including planning resources, forecasting costs, and scheduling.

  • Support capital projects post-delivery by collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.

  • Ensure safety and proper training during project start-up.

  • Assist in new product development by prototyping and ensuring manufacturability.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for equipment and processes.

    Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent industry experience.

  • 5+ years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering or similar role.

  • Experience with continuous flow manufacturing, standard work, and pull systems highly desirable,

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, DraftSight, SolidWorks.

  • Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming, support and troubleshooting.
