Sr. Lab Tech/Fragrance Intelligence Analysis

The senior lab technician’s role is sample preparation for GCMS analysis to deliver high quality data and accurate formulation of reverse engineered market products. Assists analysts with daily tasks to meet business needs. Maintains a clean and orderly working laboratory environment according to cGMP. Assures compliance of SHE procedures and proactively contribute to the improvement of lab safety. Accomplishes tasks by considering all areas involved, no matter how small. Shows concern for all aspects of the job. Accurately checks for processes and tasks. Excellent communication skills to foster a healthy collaboration between team members and requestors. Makes customers and their needs a primary focus of their actions. Develops and sustains productive customer relationships.

Your key responsibilities

• Sample preparation of market products as per business priorities and due delivery dates applying global good laboratory practices, standard operating procedures, supported with digital tools and software available.

• Operates and maintains GCMS and laboratory equipment. Keeps assigned workbench clean and organized as per the best practices.

• Keep minimum stock of consumable, solvents, raw materials, etc.

• Accurately complete and maintain appropriate documentation.

• Compound fragrances to support fragrance analyst in their reconstitution as needed.

• Support the fragrance intelligence team with special projects to meet business needs. Report common problems/issues encountered to supervisor.

You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related field with a minimum of two years laboratory experience or equivalent

• Proficiency in performing various extraction techniques, ensuring precision and efficiency in isolating desired compounds.

• Experience in GCMSFID and GC-O and knowledge of perfumery raw materials is a plus

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Excel, Word and general computer literacy is required.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have the ability to lift 20 lbs
