We are seeking a passionate Product Coach to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the teams in Global IT to perform at their highest potential.

You will join Global IT in Ascendis Pharma and be part of the Product Coach Competency Team. In Global IT, we have been gradually maturing our product-driven organization for the past two years. We do not follow a specific agile framework or model but conduct experiments to discover what works in our company and regulated industry.

In Ascendis Pharma we are a cloud-first, SaaS, zero legacy system environment. Our product teams operate in an end-to-end delivery fashion and serve specific functional areas. We do not build software ourselves but rely on industry-specific vendors.

This is a hybrid position which can be based out of either office in Princeton, NJ or Palo Alto, CA

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maneuver teams towards high performance

  • Support team alignment and meaningful rhythms to ensure collaboration and foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning

  • Provide guidance and support in areas like product discovery and strategy, roadmap planning, and prioritization

  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on product management methodologies, tools, and best practices

  • Help and coach teams on 'ways of working' to ensure a balance between speed, quality, and customer value

  • Implement and maintain effective feedback loops to gather insights from customers, team members, and stakeholders

  • Guide and coach on team composition

  • Collaborate with people leaders and functional leaders to remove impediments in the team, unclogging the team’s flow where necessary

  • Contribute to the Product Coach Competency Team and the continuous development and improvement of our product-driven operating model

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a Product Coach, Agile Coach or Scrum Master where you maneuvered teams towards high performance.

  • Experiences in different types of frameworks like Scrum, Lean, DevOps, Kanban.

  • Understanding of related fields like Beyond Budgeting, Teal and Design Thinking.

  • Capabilities in working with organizational behavior, psychological safety and change management.

  • Must have pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience.

  • This is a combination player/coach role and requires someone who is willing to be hands on.

  • Travel: 25% Travel

In other words, we are looking for someone who possess a high capacity, a well-developed sense of pragmatism and the ability to quickly analyze how to help teams in the right direction.
