The Director of Global Forecasting, US will be responsible for the generation, analysis, tracking and dissemination of the US commercial forecasts, using market trends and key parameters, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives that enable impactful decision-making. The Director will report into the Sr. Director of Global Forecasting and be heavily integrated with US business leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the US patient and revenue forecast across the product portfolio, ensuring alignment and accuracy with standard forecasting assumptions

  • Gather and analyze market data, competitor information, and other relevant factors to inform forecasting decisions.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Insights, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Medical, and Market Access to ensure alignment and accuracy of forecasts.

  • Provide up-to-date insights to Global Forecasting on US market dynamics to ensure fact sheet accuracy and consistency with Global assumptions

  • Monitor and track the product performance and make recommendations for adjustments to forecasts as needed.

  • Stay informed with the latest developments in the market landscape including market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide regular updates on forecast progress and insights.

  • Present forecast results and recommendations to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic business decisions.

  • Proactively identify opportunities and risks and communicate effectively across organization

  • Continuously review and improve forecasting methodologies, processes, and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Stay informed on industry best practices and apply them to continuously improve Ascendis’ forecasting capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical field; master’s degree in business or life sciences preferred

  • 10+ years pharmaceutical/strategy analytics experience

  • Extensive knowledge of forecasting principles, practices, and tools

  • Excellent analytical skills and well-versed in industry secondary data sources and patient data

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing scenarios.
