FS Companies are committed to ensuring the continued profitability for the company, their owners, and their customers, while enacting to help the environment and greater good. * Field Boundary and Data Specialist* * DIVISION: Crops/ Precision* * * * REPORTS TO: STATUS:* /Non-exempt/ * * * PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT* Create field boundaries using a John Deere gator equipped with RTK equipment and analyze and compile data obtained from John Deere’s Operations center. * ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS* * _ * Create and collect field boundaries. Work with the location Salesmen on which fields need boundaries created. Maintain Ag View FS data from John Deere’s Operations center. Keep the John Deere Operations center up to date with the latest boundaries. Send field boundaries to application equipment when requested. Analyze machine data and create weekly reports to send to Plant Managers to help increase efficiency. Help the Precision Farming coordinator with Drone spraying. Work with the Precision Farming coordinator and Operations Manager on quarterly machine efficiency. reports. * _OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS* Must have the ability to keep up with the ever-changing technology field. Maintain equipment used to collect boundaries by doing routine maintenance and keeping it clean. * Performs all other duties as assigned. * _REQUIREMENTS_ Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related work experience. Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record. Must hold and maintain, or have the ability to obtain, any required licenses or certifications. Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions warrant. Occasionally exposed or required to: · Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) · Noisy conditions · Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards, requiring utilization of appropriate safety measures · Lift 51 - 70 lbs.
