FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

Position Summary:

As a Financial Accountant at IDL, you’ll be an integral part of our finance team by supporting key financial operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, financial reporting, and compliance. Reporting to the Controller, this role offers a clear pathway for career growth, with the corporate vision of stepping into the Controller position. We will provide the necessary resources, training, and mentorship to support your CPA journey and/or professional development (study time, exam fees, and mentorship to help you succeed).

    Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the financial reporting process by assisting with reconciliations and data accuracy, with the opportunity to take on full financial statement preparation responsibilities as you progress in the role.

  • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts by gathering financial data and preparing reports, gradually expanding into more advanced financial planning responsibilities as you progress in the role.

  • Assist accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payments.

  • Full cycle bookkeeping.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist in month-end and year-end close processes.

  • Monitor cash flow and track key financial metrics.

  • Support external and internal audit processes, ensuring smooth and transparent operations.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

  • Work closely with other departments to improve financial efficiencies.

  • Collaborate with the Controller to optimize financial strategies and reporting.

  • Act as a key financial partner across departments, providing insights and recommendations.

  • Providing support and training to junior team members and reviewing completed work for accuracy.

  • Other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • CPA designation, actively pursuing CPA certification or committed to CPA certification (We provide full support!).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of full cycle corporate accounting.

  • Demonstrated accounting or bookkeeping experience.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed and efficient in proactively managing multi-priority workload.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • A proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with various stakeholders.

  • A passion for growth, leadership, and taking on new challenges.
