*Job Summary: * The C.N.A. is under the direct supervision of the RN/LPN and is delegated assignments by the RN/LPN to achieve quality Resident care. The C.N.A. is organizationally accountable to the Director of Nursing. The C.N.A. is responsible for assisting the RN/LPN by performing routine direct care duties to achieve quality Resident care. The C.N.A. shall demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to appropriately document the care provided to the Resident and communicate pertinent Resident information to the RN/LPN
Performance Expectations:
- Demonstrates ability to perform routine resident care including assisting with meals, toileting help, positioning and assistance with all aspects of Activities of Daily Living.
- Demonstrates ability to assist nursing staff with transportation of residents to scheduled and unscheduled appointments.
- Demonstrates ability to maintain resident's dignity and privacy at all times and in all aspects of care.
- Demonstrates ability to perform daily task and unexpected task as they arise, within scope of practice in a polite and professional manner.
- Demonstrate professional behavior both at work and while away from the facility in a manner that will reflect positively on facility and organization.
Qualifications:
Education/Skills: Diploma/GED required.
Work Experience: Minimum 6 months experience as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
Certification/Licensure: Successful Completion of Nurse Aide Course required. Current Active Mississippi Certification required. Verification of certification by the Mississippi State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry with no adverse findings required.
Mental Demands: Ability to perform as a team member, cooperate with others, follow directions precisely, demonstrates initiative, and function under stress.
