The EMEA Customer Logistics function is the link between our regional Logistics & Distribution team and our EMEA Business Unit. Ourmain focusis tooptimisethe way we serve our customers whilst focusing onoptimisingour distribution costs. We act as a Logistics Consultant for our EMEA Business Units. The EMEA Customer Logistics is part of our Global Supply Chain Operations. This role requires someone who will enjoy shaping a brand-new role and how we develop a cost-to-serve model within our EMEA Opsorganisation.
This position requires a logical thinker with a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work effectively across various departments to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the supply chain processes.
Core Responsibilities
Analysecurrent Distribution Service offerings by Channel archetype.
Analysecosts associated with delivering products and services to the different channels in conjunction with Finance teams.
Develop and implement a ‘Cost to Serve Model’ including astandardisedregional service level matrix/ archetype (including Logistic Discounts) in collaboration with our regional commercial development team and finance team.
Apply continuous improvement tools to streamline efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics activities.
Report monthly on Business Units Performance and drive compliance.
Identify opportunities for further efficiency improvements in the way we serve our customers in EMEA.
Work closely with our Finance Business Partner to develop a cost to serve model.
Do you have what it takes?
Consulting or finance background preferred.
Experience in Supply Chain is a must, preferable in Logistics and Distribution at an operational and strategic level.
Must have working knowledge of basic finance/management accounting.
Self-Starter.
Ability to think holistically whilst still being close to the detail.
Experience in leading collaborations across, supply chain and commercial and finance teams
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence across theorganisation.
Confidence and skill to challenge senior leaders effectively.
Cost modelling adding and reporting experience preferred.
Previous experience working with SAP.
Takes initiatives,recogniseand acts on opportunities.
Proficiency in English is essential.
One other European language preferred but not essential.
