Microsoft Corporation Software Engineer in Prague, Czech Republic

This Software Engineer position is with the Microsoft Teams Calling and Meetings team: if you want to work in a startup-like environment with a diverse team of bright individuals and have a desire to solve challenges that impact hundreds of millions of users worldwide, this is the team for you.

We are looking for  a passionate web developer/leader to technically contribute to design, build, test and deploy critical features, and being able to efficiently maintain them afterwards through the entire lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with PM and designer to Teams Meeting Join Experiences.

  • Work closely with infra team and partner team for E2E architecture and API design.

  • Implement related features for Teams web and desktop clients.

  • Product/Feature quality and reliability monitor and live site support.

  • Mentor junior teammates.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Programming skills React, TypeScript, JavaScript

  • OR equivalent experience (C++, Rust, C#, Java)

  • Experience with  commercial  product development, reliability and maintenance of the proposed solutions, strong focus on user experience.

  • Experience of working collaborating in the team: ability to communicate ideas clearly, and drive problems to efficient resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with React, GraphQL, Vue/Solid JS or similar libraries.

  • Strong bonus will be an experience and understanding of the principles of back-end development using strongly-typed languages/stack – e.g. .NET, C++, Rust, etc.

  • Effective communication skills, ability to drive clarity and coordinate work between people and different teams

  • Ability to efficiently deal with uncertainty and unknown areas, fast learn and develop.

  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle: ability to make refactoring that optimizes both functional aspects, as well as maintenance costs.
