Job Information

Oracle Software Developer in PRAGUE, Czech Republic

Job Description

NetSuite ERP engineers do more than write code. We become specialists in our business domain and take the time to deeply understand our customers’ goals. We own the design of our product, bringing questions and ideas to the table and analyzing them. We develop greenfield code for new engines as well as maintain a powerful legacy codebase.

So, are you thinking about a new role? We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Prague, Czech Republic. We have opportunities for both Developers and QAs . The Tax team is delivering core Tax framework in NetSuite, that international customers rely on for accounting and tax purposes. You will join a small, friendly, high-performing international team, with members in the Prague office, Brno and in Philippines. Our tech stack includes Java, Oracle DB, JavaScript, TypeScript and React. We love collaboration, quality, clean code and test automation. While this may sound simple, our customers’ needs vary widely, and our code base is complex. In this role, you will have plenty of opportunities and room to innovate, become a better engineer, and an engineering leader.

This role is for someone who wants to be involved with all phases of the development process: specification, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. We'd like you to be passionate about clean code, quality, and SOLID principles. If you want to work in an agile environment with continuous integration, pair programming and TDD practices, our team would be a phenomenal fit.

What We Provide

  • Work life balance – Our world-wide team supports each other so that your evenings and weekends are actually your own.

  • Exceptional team events (from canoeing to wine tasting) as well as meal vouchers, Flexi passes, and more!

  • Subsidized career/skills growth and mentorship for all team members.

We encourage you to apply if you have most (or all!) of the following

  • Computer Science degree or proven experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

  • Experience with Java or any similar object-oriented programming language with the ability to write programs and apply OOP principles.

  • Intimate understanding of modern web applications and extensive experience with database-driven applications such as SQL and PL/SQL.

  • Enthusiastic about automated testing!

  • Great problem-solving skills and the ability to abstract functional requirements and strong communication abilities in both technical and non-technical contexts in English.
