Junior Data Analyst

About the Role:

At Aon, we are passionate about using data to solve complex problems and drive business success. As we continue to expand our data team, we are looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join us. This entry-level position is suitable for recent graduates or individuals with a strong technical background, particularly in mathematics and analytics, who are eager to apply their skills in real-world data analysis. What the day will look like:

  • Data Analysis: Apply analytical techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights from data, supporting decision-making across different business functions.

  • Reporting: Create presentations, reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to business partners and team members.

  • Statistical Analysis: Perform statistical analysis and hypothesis testing to help interpret data and support data-driven recommendations.

  • Data Collection & Cleaning: Assist in gathering, organizing, and cleaning data from various sources to ensure it is ready for analysis.

  • Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues and other teams to understand business needs and assist in answering key data-related questions.

  • Data Validation & Quality Control: Ensure data integrity by checking for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics or a related field or at least 2 years of experience in data analysis/science is desired

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Excel

  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets and extract actionable insights.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with large datasets and ensure high levels of accuracy and consistency.

  • Proficient communication skills in English

    Bonus Skills:

  • Insurance and/or Reinsurance knowledge

  • Power Query

  • Familiarity with SQL and PowerBI

  • Proficient communication skills in French, Italian, German or Spanish
